Research on changes in the resonance of a quartz crystal caused by frictional forces at a microscopic sliding contact with periods of accelerations and decelerations
Presentation, Midstates Undergraduate Research Symposium, St. Olaf College MN, USA
In the presentation I showcased the research which investigates how microscopic friction develops between two sliding surfaces at high speeds and visualizes the force-displacement loop of contacts and changes in the resonance of a quartz crystal caused by frictional forces especially with periods of accelerations and decelerations.
